Dear all:
I have just learned of some hubbubs about romantic messages on this board. To me they sounds amusing rather than something serious for us to worry about :-) Let me clarify that we don't have any policy against that, nor do we want to delete or remove any messages for that. Per our policy the only messages we may consider to remove are:
"obscene, degrading, po-rnographic, insulting, slandering, threatening, harassing or in violation of the law"
Innocent jokes, kind words and love (romantic or platonic or anywhere in between) are not those and therefore are always ok. Feel free to enjoy the board as you see fit
Dear Mr Phệ:
Thank you very much for your vigilance, your work and righteous motivation are highly appreciated as always . In this case even if it was serious (a big if, which I highly doubt), it is still mostly a matter of ethical judgment and not a legal one. Love and compassion know no boundary and for the most part cannot be stopped or suppressed by mechanistic means . We cannot regulate or legislate a core human emotion as love. If we deny others the freedom of speech in one place, they can easily just go somewhere else to say it . In the end there will be antagonistic (adversarial) emotion where there was none . No one wins and everyone loses .
Let's give everyone the benefit of doubt and "live and let live". I have full confidence everything will be ok in the end.
Thank you all
